From clothing to real estate, everyone loves a good bargain. If that sounds like you, we think you’ll like the new Suzuki SX4 Crossover.
The SX4 is offered in two body styles, including a four-door sedan and this tall station wagon. There are also three trim levels available, all of which are powered by a 143-horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. A choice of a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission and front- or all-wheel-drive round out the drivetrain options.
We found the SX4’s engine offered plenty of grunt for everyday driving. Add the optional all-wheel-drive system and manual gearbox and you’ve got an affordable car that’s also reasonably fun to drive.
The SX4 Crossover’s budget price is reflected in some of the interior details, namely an abundance of hard plastic materials. We can’t fault the amount of room in here, however, with a rear seat that can comfortably accommodate three adults or be folded down to reveal a large flat load floor that’s just begging to be loaded up with purchases from your favorite electronics or home improvement store.
When you stop to add all this up, you have a neat little runabout that offers something relatively rare—the feeling that you’re getting more than you paid for.
